HOW TO REGISTER FOR PROGRAMS ONLINE
How to access online program registration:
From the homepage of joplinfamilyy.org click on the tab register/pay balance.
NOTE: If you are not a member of the Joplin
Family Y and this is your first visit to our online registration, please start
by clicking the “sign me up!” button on the bottom of the login
screen. You must be added to our
database before you can pursue your registration
How to sign in to register:
When you enter the registration area, you have the choice of
browsing programs without logging in, or logging in to actually register.
The first time you log in, use the area on the right side of
the screen.
- Enter
your first and last name as it appears on Joplin Family Y records.
- Then
enter the first initial of your first name, the first initial of your last
name and the month, date and year of your birth. For example, Joe Ymember, born on January 20, 1950, will enter
JY012050.
- Click
on the login button
- If you
are logging in for a Youth membership or a nonmember that is under the age
of 18, the parent should use the child’s information.
After logging in
the first time, please visit the my information bar to update any information
and to choose your password and enter your email. This password is case sensitive. Click update info when finished.
After updating this info, in the future you may log in with your email
address and this password.
The next screen that comes up will have each member on your
Joplin Family Y membership listed.
Click the person you would like to register for a program.
How to choose a program category:
Once you have entered the program registration area you will
see:
- Helpful
information displayed in the blue bar on the left side of your screen.
- At the
top of your screen, a place to select the month and year of the program
begin dates. You may enter the
same month in both blanks, enter a range of months, or leave all bland and
see all available programs.
- Select
the program category to narrow your search or press enter to see all.
- You
now have the option of choosing search
for program. This option
will allow you to search by age or look for a specific word in the title
of the program. You may fill
in all criteria or just fill in one blank, such as just age, to find all
programs available and suitable for that age.
- Please note that programs available for
viewing are those currently published on the joplinfamilyy.org website and
in our seasonal program guide.
Registrations will change when new program guides are published.
How to browse program list:
Once you have selected all of your criteria, whether you
used the category selections or search for program selection, you will see a list of programs with the
following info:
- A
brief description of the program
- The acceptable
age range
- The
fee for a Joplin Family Y member and the higher fee for non-member program
participants
- The
dates that the program begins and ends
- The
day(s) the class is held
- How
many slots still remain open
- If
there are not slots available the number of people on the waiting list
- The
orange block with register,
which is what you click to register for that class
How to submit payment information:
Once you have selected the program(s) you wish to purchase,
you must enter your credit card information.
- You
must enter your information EXACTLY as it appears on your credit card
account.
- Click
on continue.
- If you
are registering for a You or nonmember under 18, it shoulddefault
to the name of a parent. If
this is not your name or address, you must enter your name and address as
it appears on your credit card.
You will now see the cost of the program and your credit
card info. If you choose:
- Add to cart, it will total the
program(s) and allow you to continue adding on more programs
- Checkout, it will continue to
complete your transaction
- Roaster, you will see what your
registration history is so far
- Delete, the program you just
registered for will be removed
- Back or logoff, it will stop the registration completely
- Add to cart and then continue, you can back up and
choose another member on your membership to register without logging in or
entering your credit card info more than once in each transaction
How to submit registration:
Once you have completed all registrations and are sure you
want to continue with the sale, click on the check out button. You
will receive a confirmation on your screen for printing and you can choose to
have the receipt mailed to you for future reference. Your credit card will e charged the total that appears on the confirmation
receipt.
Additional notes:
- Your
registration will immediately update to our database at the Front Desk
computers and be logged for the day.
- If you
need to make any changes after you have confirmed your registration, you will
need to contact the Front Desk at either Joplin Family Y facility to make
changes for you.
- If you
have a balance due on a childcare program, you will be able to make that
payment online by choosing the programs/balances
button on the left side of the screen.
- You
may use the my information
button to update any address or phone changes without coming into the Y!
- If you
have any questions about a particular program or class, call the Joplin
Family Y at 623-4597 and any Front Desk attendant will be able to help
you.
